My 2014 state tax return was .27
Cost $ to drink in bars... Cheap swill was 3/4 dollars per bottle. That bud light/busch light crap.
Mixed drinks were 10/12 dollars.
May issue state. Was denied 3 times for a concealed carry permit.

Moved to Florida.

Guns are Legal.
Magazines of all sizes are legal.
Shall issue state.
NO STATE INCOME TAX!
Sales tax is less.
Can drink in a bar for 20 bucks and get a buzz and leave the bartender a good tip... Domestic drafts 1.25, Domestic bottles 1.50 Import drafts 2, Import Bottles 2.25 Mixed drinks-$5
Cell phone bill dropped to 87 dollars (The reason-NY state taxes and surcharges)
Property taxes are a third of what they are in NY AND include garbage, recyclables, and yard waste pickup.
I LIVE IN TROPICAL AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FIREWORKS ARE LEGAL TOO! Used to have to go to New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania for the Fourth of July and sneak them back in. Mortars, Bottle Rockets. The good stuff.
I'll miss taking my SkiDoo up to tughill.
I'll miss snowboarding at Hunter, Gore, and Catamount.
I'm missing Saturday nights racing my stock cars at Lebanon Valley.
I'll miss the Adirondacks and Catskills
I miss the apples (wherever they get apples from down here, they suck!)
I miss the pizza (another thing that absolutely sucks down here)
But I will NEVER Return to NY.
I just may have to call up my lawyer back in NY and have him sell my grave plot down in Poughkeepsie that over looks the Hudson river.

Cuomo lost a good tax payer.
Truth!!! Left LI for the left coast of Florida and will never go back to that cesspool!!!!

Heres another thing that we can have but NY cant.

Tinted windshields and Limo Tint on the front windows.
Have both on my work truck, haven't put tint on my half ton yet though.
My work truck would get HEFTY fines
Haven't been stopped yet or ticketed for it.

NY passes laws to generate revenue for the state.
Meanwhile the roads have pot holes big enough to swallow Buicks.
Bridges are in disrepair. But the tolls to cross them have gone up, and the booth collectors have been replaced with coin machines like in NJ...

Effective January 1st 2017, examination of tinted or shaded windows will be required during motor vehicle inspections. A video about this change is available on YouTube.

Section 375 (12-a) of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law does not allow a windshield or front side windows that are dark.

The windshield and front side windows cannot block more than 30% of the light.
Seventy percent or more of the light from the outside must pass through the window.

This law also applies to the rear window unless the vehicle has outside rear-view mirrors on both sides.
The mirrors must give the driver a full and clear view behind the vehicle.

Rear side windows must also allow at least seventy percent of light from the outside to pass through the window if the vehicle is classified as a
station wagon
sedan
hardtop
coupe
hatchback
convertible
A vehicle falls into one of these categories if it is labeled “Passenger Car†on the Federal ID label found on the left front door panel.

It is illegal to sell, offer for sale, or install glass that does not comply with this law. It is illegal to operate a vehicle with glass that does not comply with this law.

As a liberal democrat that owns multiple assault rifles, the high-capacity mag laws annoy me. However, I abide by them. Because....LAW.
You have full auto firearms? I'm jealous.

If you have no skin in the game, why are you even on this thread? Many of us are trying to avoid being an instant criminal.

You flat out asked the wrong question.

The question you should have asked (but failed to) is: "How many rounds might you need to stop someone else from committing a mass shooting?"

One correspondent on this thread is a retired peace officer. He can probably tell you that in the heat of the fight, your first round (or second or third or eighth) often don't find their marks. If you think that every round fired hits its target dead center, you've been watching too much TV and have confused what you have seen there with what happens in real life.

Oh, yeah, because gun lovers want them and have that right.

The answer you seeking is simple even to a Liberal. Is faced with home invasion (for example) the criminals are not going to be with spec of the law.

NY and CA Is anti America and denies law abiding America their right for self defense.

Army veteran is irrelevant. The law is the law.
