This is a clear case of a LE officer exceeding his authority. These are the people the left says we should cede authority with arms to. We should trust in these people, in their training and judgement? I don't think so folks. This is out of hand and far beyond LE mandate.
LOL...it would be better if agents of the State all started shooting themselves in the head so that human beings could be free from the State. (and eliminate a lot of psychopaths, thugs, and tyrants from the gene pool)

The video will not load for me. however the dash/officer cam speaks well enough. "Don't Shoot" here. The dog presented NO immediate threat. Hence the calm of the officer as he fired his weapon. There was NO threat to the officer here, other than his perception he was "justified". He was not.
Were I on his review he would hang. This from someone who has dealt with far more as a utility serviceman. And survived unscathed. LE needs to get far more training in dealing with dogs.
My favorite was the cops who broke into THE WRONG HOUSE and then shot the dog and homeowner.
I know! Why do they always go for the gun? I remember in the '90s there was a big push for them to use their tasers, but for some reason that has gone by the wayside. Something's got to change with the way they are trained these days. It's not just the shootings of people and animals, but also the way they hold them down by sitting on top of them in chokeholds. We've had a few people killed that way too, well after they had been handcuffed.
You cannot give any person, group, or government the fictional right to use aggression and expect anything less than barbarity and brutality.
You can improve the professionalism in the ranks. Better pay, higher expectations. This guy sounds more like an immature pizza boy than a police officer.
