I thought it was an unwritten rule that former Presidents dont trash current Presidents. When Bush left office, he did not utter a word about Obama for years. Of course it seems Obama could not do the same courtesy for Trump. I dont care if you think Trump deserves it or not, It is classless and rude.
The difference is that Trump is not like the Bushes, Reagan, and (arguably) even Nixon. Trump simply doesn't grasp that the leadership style sets the tone for an organization, even in matters as simple basic day-to-day behavior and overall treatment of people. The past Republicans, regardless of what one thinks of them, at least had the good sense to pretend to not consider "others" to be worthy of whatever disrespect comes their way.

With Trump, on the other hand, even calling his tone and attitude disrespectful is trivializing the matter. No responsible world leader would engage in the blatant insults, name-calling, belittlement, and outright cruelty he does - much less take the belligerent tone reminiscent of teenage social dominance games. Add to this his many federal positions yet to be filled, and his ambassadorships, etc., his flagrant defiance of the international community (especially about climate change), reliance on marginal figures as advisors (Steve Bannon, Steven Miller, both sympathetic to white supremacy and authoritarianism, if not white supremacist and/or authoritarian themselves), and you have all the elements in place for a national disaster in the making.

This wouldn't be such a big deal for the world if our international clout were on the level of Italy or Spain or less. As it is, this country is the world's 800 pound gorilla - meaning we can do enormous damage to the world unless "We the people" step in and stop it - hopefully just by protests and ballot casting.

So given the unique details about Trump and the United States of America, I deem justifiable an exception to the rule (presuming it actually exists) about former presidents not calling out current presidents on how they are governing the country.

If it means I don't have to see him anymore, he can go to every country and say whatever he pleases. I hope they roll out the red carpet for him and he never, ever, ever wants to leave.

This is a lie.

RW websites and Fox News flogged it constantly.

Still a lie.

Trump has made an issue of criticizing Obama. Even after Obama left office. Usually presidents don't comment about a previous president. If Obama does criticize Trump, he deserves it. Enough is enough...

We are in uncharted territory.

Trump falsely accused Obama of committing a crime.

Trump and Republicans openly support attacking the press.

Trump and the Republicans are gutting environmental, banking, ... regulations/laws.

Trump and the Republicans are working to block any investigation into what Russia is up to with our elections and who they were were working with.

...

It is beyond ridiculous to think that Obama, or any loyal American, should sit by the sidelines just watch this group of grifters.

Trump made it all about him which he likes to do but the story in general was true. The administration illegally spied on all of us.

Obama intel agency secretly conducted illegal searches on Americans for years

Obama was no fan of them.

WASHINGTON — A defiant President Obama said he makes “no apologies” for the Justice Department’s sprawling subpoena that mopped up two months’ worth of phone records from journalists — even as lawmakers in both parties said the administration should apologize for overreaching.

A peeved prez isn

He can say whatever he wants but we have Trump today because people refused to hold Obama accountable.

Because Trump's trashy, insulting behavior is praised and defended by you and other Trump fans. You claim to not care how borrish Trump behaves here or on foreign soil. Actually, you say it shows how strong he is. Not to mention, how ridiculously insulting Trump has been to Presdient Obama for about 10 years...and going.

How in the world can you pretend to be offended by anything BO says about Trump? Do you really lack that much self-awareness?

The person who is trashing the president the most is Trump.
Trump is an embarrassment to every American. Trump is like America walking around with its zipper down. His tweets sound like they are written by a twelve year old spoiled child with every mental problem in the book. He suffers from aphasia and clearly has dementia. Trump belongs in a home and not in the whte house.
Impeachment isn't far off.

Here's 21 times - LINK and Text/Video of Obama blaming Bush and others for his own failings.

21 TIMES THAT BARACK OBAMA BLAMED OTHER PEOPLE FOR HIS OWN FAILURES

In Obama's first State of the Union in 2009 - it's was all blame Bush. That continued right up to the 2016 campaign to elect Hillary Clinton. The Blame the EvilBushHitlerCheney was so rampant during the entire 8 years of the Obama Regime that it became a JOKE.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that former President Obama is traveling the world now to "blame President Trump" - it's his pattern and has been for years.

I've heard President Trump say once that "we inherited a mess". He agreed that the Obama Team should have done something about the Russian hacking since it came out in hearings that TeamObama KNEW about it and ignored it. TeamObama admitted "we choked" .... this was widely in the Media. I also recall that Trump said the Obama Team vetted Michael Flynn for his Security clearances .... which is true because TeamO was the regime in charge of Security clearances. I don't recall a batch of speeches by President Trump "blaming Obama" .... perhaps somebody can post links to that.

The Thread title is about a former President going to Foreign Countries and giving speeches against a sitting US President. I don't recall any former President doing that - until NOW.
