Standard for large public gatherings, people unite and reaffirm their belief in country and freedom. No attending customer is forced to stand or show respect. The players, however, are why people come there and should be expected to show proper respect and if they don't like it they can work somewhere else or buy a ticket like everyone else

I haven't been following this thread but I thought I heard something today about NFL players demanding drug laws be softened in black communities. You might want to investigate.

If the attendees are able bodied they should if the athletes have to. That is hypocracy right there. I don't mind the kneeling but an able-bodied person assuring always annoyed me.

Please highlight in the article where anyone is being rewarded (with "all the dope you want!") for turning their back on their country.

I'll wait.

What - you can't find anything either?

I don't waste much time looking for fake news.

Those who post absurd claims for the purpose of pot-stirring need to come up with more than "I think I heard something about...."

It's behind their pay wall so I'm not going to link to it, but WaPo is reporting the NFL is endorsing legislation that would mean lighter sentences for drug felons. That'll warm the hearts of all Americans.
