The parents should be deported, or at least put on probation with a requirement to work or do volunteer work to make up for their violations of the law.
Obama hasn't even made a statement regarding the Dreamers. And he's entitled to do so, since he stated that he sees this issue as a core value issue of Americans. For many Dreamers, this country is the only country they know. They were brought up here. Rounding up children and sending them to countries they don't know seems cruel to me. I hope Congress can come up with a rational solution. I suspect that when Obama does make a statement, it will be that he hopes Congress can come up with a humane and rational solution.
He is not entitled to do so. He is no longer the President, and he needs to get out of the way and SHUT UP! He has no authority. He didn't have the authority for DACA in the first place. It was unconstitutional. He assumed power that the Constitution does not grant him. He should be prosecuted and jailed.
"While new applications for work permits will not be accepted, all existing work permits will be honored until their date of expiration up to two full years from today. Furthermore, applications already in the pipeline will be processed, as will renewal applications for those facing near-term expiration. This is a gradual process, not a sudden phase out. Permits will not begin to expire for another six months, and will remain active for up to 24 months. Thus, in effect, I am not going to just cut DACA off, but rather provide a window of opportunity for Congress to finally act."
I read his words, more than once. What he said above implies that unless Congress acts, the dreamers are outta here...eventually. That is, Congress has the final word on DACA.
But now Trump says (as of 8:38 this evening) he will revisit DACA if congress doesn't act. My point is, what do his words really mean? Trump doesn't want to take responsibility, be the bad guy. DACA supporters therefore must focus like a laser on him.
Obama damn near destroyed America. Trump is restoring it. Fools love dictators. That's why they like Obama. They don't like Liberty. They want to be subjects of a King.
oh course the fascist liberals love their dictators...
fascism, socialism, liberalism...all hate capitalism, love a all controlling government and hate individual freedom

Putting this off 6 months puts this in march 2018, not long before mid- terms.
