It's very puzzling that you think there's any semblance of moral equivalency.

Since you're so ready to declare these people attacking a random police woman with revolutionaries.... I'd say this situation is more akin to what Charles Martel had to deal with back in the 700s. Let's hope the (real) French deal with it similarly.

France is a great place, is has issues and cities with problems just like the US , UK and most other "free" nations.
But i am telling you straight you are making this stuff up. some french cities have a lot of low income and dependent people, but you are pretending the problems are because they are brown or culturally different from "french". The reality is you will find just as bad and good in many capital cities around europe and the US. and it has zero to do with race or culture and everything to do with being a stakeholder or being marginalized.
You are trying to pretend this is a sectarian or race issue and the reality it it typical urban crime. maybe you need to go live there or in a place where folks have no hope, no expectation of a good future etc...

sure the people in the video are thugs, but mostly they have spent their whole lives believing police are out to get them, and often the police are.... the problem lies not with culture and race but with a system that marginalizes people from to death and it is clearly not race because you see it in cities that are snow white.

Also cars being trashed in France is not something that necessarily began with immigrants. Radical left wing students/anarchists/Antifa/Black Bloc have done this for years and still do.

Are you still having trouble with the definition of evidence?

All newspapers: "Vicious attack and car fires in heavily immigrant suburb..."

Le roi: "But how do we KNOW these are immigrants? Native French absolutely love to slum it in the African and Middle Eastern majority suburbs on New Years!"

Ethnic identity is not a criminal case, le roi....and they arrested about 500 from that night, so why don't you sit back and wait and see how many "French" are represented among the arrested.

Their is no 2% of America that commits 70% of the crime. Their is a 2% however that commits roughly 20%-30% of crime.

Tradition started in Strasbourg

The infamous custom can be traced to the northeastern city of Strasbourg that straddles France’s border with Germany.

Strasbourg, which hosts thousands of tourists who flock to the city for its renowned Christmas market, first began to be blighted by holiday season vehicle arson in the late 1980s. But the phenomenon exploded to alarming levels during the 1990s.

The year 1997 proved to be decisive. That year the national media descended en mass on the bustling picturesque city following a spree of car burnings, as young vandals from rival housing estates began “competing” for the media spotlight.

Local government official Patrice Magnier said at the time he saw a clear “correlation between the media focus on the phenomenon and the rise in incidents.”

Despite efforts by the police and local bodies, the tradition has not been stamped out. Rather, it has spread across France, with a new peak in New Year’s car burning between 2005 and 2009

You misread the chart and are confusing the “born in overseas France - 2.3%”. Keep in mind these numbers are from 1999 and are likely highly outdated. The actual totals for born outside Metropolitan France is 23%.
Born in overseas France - 2.3%, Born in foreign counties with French citizenship at birth 3.0%, EU-15 immigrants 7.5%, Non-EU-15 immigrants 10.2%.
