As for corporal punishment...our parents sent in letters to our schools each year stating teachers were NOT to use any type of physical punishment on us. One teacher did slap me once and my mother was down at that school quicker than you know what.
Medication? Hurt a child and you're my sworn enemy. Touch my child, you're dead, and it's gonna hurt a lot first.
I may be a flaming liberal, but I have limits.
I'll hug him as soon as I finish pulling his heart out through his ass. And I'll smile. Promise.
And then say "this is how we do it in the U.S.".
In all seriousness, I'm all for parents actually PARENTING their kids and not subjecting the public to their child's outbursts. Having raised an ADHD/Aspergers child I can't count how many times I've had to remove said child from stores, restaurants etc because of an outburst/screaming/crying/demanding things. My wife and I always felt it was OUR problem to deal with and our job to not inflict our son's bad behavior on other innocent people.
With that being said, there were very few people that we'd tolerate popping our kid on his butt when he acted out and certainly NEVER a stranger.
As a stranger you could be risking your very life by striking some unknown persons kid as long as the parent(s) still posses the protective gene they were born with.
Sadly, some adults have had that gene either suppressed or totally removed over the years.
Now on to the actual person who hit this kid. If he's not an actual U.S. citizen he needs to be transported back to the border and pushed across with instructions to never return.
If he's an actual U.S. citizen (as in born here) he should face the justice system and be told that this is the last time, one more arrest and he's off to prison for a long, long stretch.
Pitchforks and torches are too quick. I'd prefer to whet my Randall and strip his skin a quarter inch or so at a time and roast slowly over a pine straw fire while basting him with my urine.
There’s a wide gap between protecting your child and being a psycho.
Same here. My mother was always quick to sign corporal punishment in grade school every year as a kid, Lol. Anyway, I rarely complained as a kid if didn't get something, because it yield zero results. If i wanted it, i would just find a way to get it myself.
Its all about parenting. If your kid(s) is going to scream and pout for not getting anything - you're doing something wrong.
Oh yes, so abnormal for a kid to ask for candy and so normal for a drunk Mexican to come to the rescue, correcting this atrocious behavior...
We’re now on a planet with people who seem to have zero grasp of fundamental acceptable conduct .... which apparently includes those of you who agree that it’s OK for this sad sack of ****e to put his paws on someone else’s child.
We are doomed as a species, if such blatantly unacceptable conduct appears remotely acceptable. I would have given this cretin a little culture education, USA style, as to the consequences of putting hands on my kid ..... and it wouldn’t have been pretty.
