Liberals discriminate against asians all the time. Why doesn’t that bother you?
And whites, and even entire white countries. Liberals are always discriminating against or for one group or another justified by some false narrative they conjure up.
I do feel bad for this guy. He's just trying to run a business, not get ripped off and hold guilty parties accountable for their action (he knows who the troublemakers are after watching thousands of people walk through those doors, and not all of them are necessarily black). Now he's got some bloodsucking civil rights attorney looking for paydays for people who were probably going to attempt to rip him off in the first place.
If a well dressed middle aged black man came into the buffet I doubt he'd be asked to pay up front.
So the relevant question here is not what color your skin is but rather whether you look like a trouble maker or not.
And he should be able to profile who is likely to steal and not treat everyone as likely to steal. But our dubious anti-discrimination laws have long been bastardize into equal outcome laws, so profiling will have a disparate impact since groups don't steal at equal rates.
Spa and beauty services (getting your hair done), cabs, etc.
I have a friend who is a cab driver (he is hispanic) and he makes that judgment call and requires upfront payment if he thinks he might get stiffed. He says a lot of cab drivers do that.
There is a Lin's chinese buffet near me (they are in several western states) and they require paying up front.
If you food is good, and Lin's is better than average chinese buffet, people will pay first.
I think people should be free to discriminate though. It makes the market more honest and competitive which benefits the consumer.
