Well they seem to protest any little thing Trump . Or crying about it on social media .
Even when Ivanka goes to a beauty salon it’s triggering for them .
I vehemently disagree with your comments regarding President Trump.
However, I do agree with your comments about Republucans in Congress...with the caveat that it isn't just Republicans; it is the Democrats too. Whichever one is in power doesn't matter. Either nothing gets done or the same nonsense keeps going forward. They are indeed the "uniparty" and they do indeed go against the will of the people while enriching themselves.
The only solution I can think of is term limits.
I'm certainly no fan of the Democrats, but they really aren't anywhere as bad as the Republicans in that regard. They're no knights in shining armor by any means, but they do make sincere efforts to advance the
interests of the average people. When was the last time the Republican legislators did anything you could say that about?
As for solutions, the only one that I think would work (and the only one we really need) is campaign finance and lobbying reform. Our current lobbying and campaign finance laws are written by legislators to allow them to sell their votes to the highest bidder, pure and simple. Our democracy has literally been sold out from under us. and the only way to get it back is to cut off the bribes.
I doubt the high ratings had anything to do with Trump. People remembered the original show and are hoping for more of the same. The fact they politicized the show will probably turn many people away. The ratings for the next few weeks will tell.
I hate all the reboots and remakes. And I hate anything that just creates jokes out of the current political situation and it seems so lazy.
But this reboot did not really do that. It was actually quite entertaining and fun. There were some references to politics, but that was really all background stuff.
I was very pleasantly surprised given the recent state of all the stupid crap that's
being redone.

I would rather teach someone to fish, while creating more waters to fish in, than having to give them my fish everyday that i worked hard for.
That's my efforts to advance the interests of the all people, average or not.

I can't disagree with that, but that only relates to a small piece of the policy differences between the two major parties.
