Republicans only like the wealthy and Evangelicals for the votes. They want rich and poor because Republicans don’t want to pay a living wage. They love cheap labor and hate unions that stick up for the middle class. Don’t fool yourself Middle class republican voters. They just use you for your votes. (Unless you are a big donor)

So it is your belief that all businesses and corporations are owned and run by republicans?

And it is your belief that by allowing more people in the U.S., even if illegally here it would benefit the people rather than the companies?

That's a bunch of BS. The Republicans are NOT the party of the working class, they are the party of big business!

Funny how both parties are always looking out for big business.

It remains a factual statement that the title of this thread is a direct quote from the tweet.
Yes... and as I pointed out to you... also out of context.

No, it wasn't. The OP quoted a part of the tweet and provided a link to a story about the tweet.

It's sad that this even has to be explained to you.

They've since recanted and someone has resigned over it. But it really happened.

Poorly worded, to be sure, but it's clear that they meant that they hate poverty and that some people are poor, not poor people themselves.

You're gonna feel really stupid now. You QUOTED the OP in your post, which contained a picture of the actual tweet.

Republicans only hate specific types of poor people.

A tremendous amount of their constituents are very poor. And I mean a WHOLE LOT! It isn’t some tiny minority in their party.
