No, before Fox News, and some small talk radio outlets, there was only the Far Left mainstream media of CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, the New York Time etc who constantly promote Demcrats and the liberal agenda. Now add MSNBC, and other liberal on line, and print sources, and the media is still 97% liberal/progressive so your argument is total B.S.

Lightbulb After The Trump Boil Is Lanced, What Comes Next For America?

Ideally, the GOP will separate itself from the ignorant angry religious right and return to being a rational alternative to the Dems.

But, how likely is that?

Once moderate Americans see how infectious the disease of ignorance, corruption, pathological dishonesty and veiled racism is to the health and well being of our democracy (and many already have) I have to wonder what will fill the ideological vacuum that Trumpism will leave in its wake.

Democrats are by no means blameless, but they do believe in a government run by educated professionals who aspire to be the best in their respective fields. The previous two Republican administrations have been notoriously staffed by cronies, many woefully unqualified, and as bad as the Bush administration was, it covered up its cronyism like establishment Republicans have perfected the process. The Trump Administration is blatant and uninterested in appearances, with his family immediately occupying key posts, and his appointments to his inner circle being the people he watches on Fox News.

We still have three more years to feel the pain of this boil, and it likely will not be lanced until 2020. What platform will Republicans adopt after the religious absolutism of the war mongering neoconservatives under Bush, and now the blatant corruption and endless cycle of polarizing attacks on democracy under Trump?

I predict a rebirth of the Republican party, one that understands that a theocratic approach to governing appeals to a shrinking number of Americans, and a dog whistle "Make America Great Again" platform of not so veiled racism won't work either, because America becomes less white every day. We have seen how cowardly Republicans are to stand up to Trump. but some have shown backbone. One knows his days are numbered on this earth and has stood up, while two others have abandoned their seats, and are content to stand up as they are walking away from the fight.

I look forward to the rebadged Republican Party, one that is more inclusive and less ideological.
This is the problem with government today in a nutshell. It believes itself entitled to rule, and just plain entitled, period. The Divine Right of Kings, flavored with Noblesse Oblige. It has no place for the Andrew Jacksons or Harry Trumans who executed the Office of President well and faithfully and would have none for Lincoln were he not above criticism.

The "rebirth" O'Danny pines for is the Republican Party pre-1980: the East Coast WASP establishment whose last gift to America was President H.W. Bush. I'm sure his admiration is unintentional and thoughtless. Which shows that is also natural and unavoidable.

"Lancing boils" in reference to a duly elected President, a President who has committed no offence except to oppose the causes his detractors favor is a phrase that reveals how unconscious the government is of own inclinations and of its attempts at banana-republicing what used to be the world's greatest nation.

Yeah, yeah, blah, blah. Any media outlet that's not 100% pro Trump is "far left", according to far right reactionaries.

Reality has a liberal bias, too. That's why Trump and his cult of Trumpkins like to live inside the alternate reality bubble of far right media, Faux, Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh, etc.

So when you name call, that signals you are LOSING, and also that you have nothing intelligent to add.

How is Trump a boil when:

The economy is improving greatly
GDP is up
Unemployment is at record lows
The stock markets are at record highs
Illegal alien invasion is down 67%
More secure borders
Less needless regulation
Housing starts, and the housing market is excellent

More Far Left drivel from the Hillary supporters.

Increasing civilization away from historical anarchy has gradually led us away from brutal and short life spans.

See the world's largest continent still in general anarchy: Africa.

The States that exist are still in a state of anarchy, which is most obvious when they are able to be contrasted before and after a European run government was ejected, and where States don't functionally exist you have outright cannibalism.

You also lack a foundational understanding of Left and Right politics, and what defines them. Which almost everyone agrees on correctly, if not sharing a depth understanding of the reasons for the distinction. You will always be unsuccessful at redefining the terms, Leftist gatekeeper.

I can easily show how anarchy is regression. Want to do this?
Your arguments against libertarianism are meaningless because they are not based on facts.

For example, African countries are NOT in a state of anarchy; they are almost all controlled by dictators of some sort, including some monarchs. The European-run governments in many cases were even more authoritarian than the ones they currently have.

My foundational understanding of left/right politics is also FAR more in depth than yours, as I realize that they are fundamentally the same since they both depend on force and violence to achieve their means.

You can never show anarchy is regression because it is a fundamental fallacy. Statism, on the other hand, IS regression and is why humans have never evolved past their tribalist, submissive roots.
