Like many are saying poverty is relative. The poor in america is like paid vacation in comparison with the poor of india. And putting all the fault on trump is ridiculous. Poverty in america drastically decreased from the end of ww2 to the beginning of the 70's. Wages and quality of life rosed. Then the government messed it all for the majority of people by deregulations, since then worker wages have stagnated and all the profits go to the rich. It is the standard policy since the 70's, some presidents abuse it more than others.

Having said this, yes, the u.s. has one of the highest poverty rate among developed countries.

Haven't you got enough folks in prison already? Higher percentage of your population than almost any country in the world.

I think you need to think of a different way........

Yeah, but like all things American, their prisons are making someone at the top richer so it's all good.

How exactly is access to healthcare being slashed? Trump failed to get Obamacare repealed.

Well the same publication offered this shocking story .... https://www.aol.com/article/news/201...sent/23421016/

Even with Obamacare still in place President Trump is still being accused of cutting access to healthcare.

"Expert" - having grown up in a very rural area, we knew the standard for being an "expert" was that you had to be at least 50 miles from home.

Also, when you compare the US to other developed countries, keep in mind that we are the most ethnically diverse nation on the planet, and that the poverty in the US is not evenly spread across all cultures.

They don't need (or deserve) "prison" in the terms of which too many of the secure and sheltered are conditioned to think of it, but they definitely need to be confined to a more structured and restricted environment in which they will have no choice but to shoulder the burdens and responsibilities of life in the decentralized, post-industrial social structure which is currently emerging (think Hong Kong and Singapore!); this is a hard lesson which must -- will be taught to those grown soft, and conditioned to expect too much, for too little.

LOL at listening to anyone from the UN. Working class wages are rising faster than they have in a long time. Of course other countries are going to be upset American exceptionalism is back. The more pissed the UN is the better off we are.
