The premise here of the OP is truly a false flag, landing in post #790 with his predictable criticism of the President.
ANY cursory summary of "cruelest" will reveal a litany of genocides committed by countries around the world. We can probably argue yet agree that our species is far from perfect. But to try to illuminate America as the unbounded leader in such a motley pack is simply a shot from an old tired British throwback who is (still) mulling over the supreme beat down they took in the "colonial war"
So, Dave, pack it in, go to quiz night raise a glass to the land of the free and the home of the brave. Now, don't all get your panties in a wad. It's the 4th of July tomorrow.
Have some respect.
^^^^^This. America is possibly the most altruistic, and least cruel country on Earth. Of course the U.S. has made its mistakes, but we are often held accountable, and hold ourselves accountable, and fix things. The staggering amount of foreign aid ($$$) we provide worldwide borders on the ridiculous.
As it is the 4th of July tomorrow, I will proudly be flying my Gadsden, and Thirteen Colonies flags!

Well, of course I criticise the Donald........ he is a nut case.......come on, you all know it!!...... I have stated the same opinion about him elsewhere.
Mulling over the supreme beat down we took in the 'colonial war'?....... jeez man, that was a long time ago. I like most of my fellow Englishmen know nothing about this little falling out we had, what.....250 years ago? You're as bad as the Irish harping on to the distant past!!....... Who cares?
Enjoy your day tomorrow, and I say that in all sincerity.
America definitely has a "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" mentality that stems from centuries ago. People moved here with nothing but their clothes and a few personal belongings and made something out of themselves. The mentality is that if someone can move to South Dakota with a horse and buggy and survive the winter, anyone is capable of doing anything if they put their mind to it.
In 2018 I think the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" mentality is a little farfetched, but at the same time I think there are a lot of lazy people who expect a handout without putting forth any work or effort.

Having lived on your fair isle and with reverence for your verve I would bite my tongue my new friend.
We adore our President and unlike your whole nepotistic kinky blinders thing you all wear on your sleeves the United Kingdom is a pretty and charming place.
As I said, cool the passive aggressive "we like you bs" and truly celebrate our freedom from your country of choice.

I would agree with your post. And with Trump in office those hand outs will get less and less.

Cheers.
You adore your President? I really feel sorry for you if you mean that. He is riding on Obama's economic shirttail. It will hit the fan eventually. He is working on it right now as I type. I know some people love him. Like I said earlier in this thread, Adolf Hitler had folks who adored him also........ right to the end.
I say this with no pleasure. I understand why folks voted for him. But, he is the Emperor with no clothes.
Plus he is a cruel man. Is this why you adore him? Like the link says?
Do you go YA HOO, and throw your hat in the air?.........
You are beginning to discern our differences. It's about time.
