You said it.

Oh, I know why they wear hats outdoors.

Well Trump sure gets under your skin. Who's fault is that? I am a firm believer that its not what someone says or does but how you react to it that counts. You give Trump a lot of power by reacting the way you do.

In America we have something called freedom of speech. At least at this point the far left has not been able to muzzle it although they try.

I am not a Trump supporter but a hat is a hat and a campaign slogan is a campaign slogan. How anyone can say that is offensive is really hard to believe.

a. He wasn't in America, so freedom of speech whatever you want, it doesn't apply.
b. It clearly only became an issue when snowflake hat wearer complained about being butthurt.

a. I was responding to a post by a Canadian, I am aware of that.

b. That is how you control speech thought this PC nonsense. Being offended by anything said by people you don't agree with. At least it backfired for this ex manager.

What the heck are talking about?

The REASON we pay attention to Trump is because he is causing MAJOR damage to the Canadian US relationship. It is going to cost YOU and ME more money because of his lack of ability to negotiate trade.

You, symbols? Does the hat not stand for something? Of course it does, what it stands for is Trump and his policies. Anyone wearing one is a supporter of him and his character...or lack thereof.

The difference between wearing one in a restaurant where others are " trapped " with him, is vastly different than him waliking down the street.

No one is controlling speech in the sense you mean. This was a private space. If I owned it, I would of commended the manager for showing that we as an establishment do not condone the promotion of what that hat represents.
