I'm half Puerto Rican and this report is B.S. and the American and Spanish liberal news media are trying to push a narrative and an agenda and you fell for it.
This is not worthy to make it in the national news. If we are going to report on the national news everytime something likes this happens in a public park then report it all. I really doubt the news media reports when drunk Mexicans are and rude in boxing and soccer events and argue about flags and countries. Or when some minority says something negative to a white person in public. Yeah, I'm sure that never gets reported in the media and it shouldn't unless the incident resulted in physical harm or death.

A Mexican national told me years ago that we shouldn't be in California and we stole it from them and the only flag that should be flown in California is the Mexican flag. He was drunk and rude but that didn't make national news.
Actually it is you who is wrong. The person you responded to specifically said “United States”. The Conquistadors abandoned the Southwest hundreds of years before the formation of the US. Were there still Spanish speakers? Yes but they had nothing to do with the US independence and the creation of this nation.
Nevertheless, the native language here was not English. Doesn't matter that we're called the United States now. The people who were on this land first did not speak English. Many do not today. That's why the U.S. is called a melting pot.

Trump defending hate groups etc have a lot of people thinking that they can just walk up to anyone and say anything, treat them any way they want too. Even If Trump is against this kind of behavior (which I don't think he is.) In their eyes he's their hero because Trump does the same thing so if he can so can they. Trump has given them a voice and there is no stopping it now we have an immature child as president and we have immature people coming out of the closest, who have been holding their breath to cut loose.
