Too bad his policies can reverse this trend. Imposing tariffs is not a smart thing to do during an expansion.

The impact of President Trump on the macroeconomic performance of the US economy has been negligible so far. We measure neither an acceleration of growth nor increased job creation in the US economy relative to an appropriate benchmark.

Don't tell that to the Trumplings, who seem to believe the economy is rip-roaring just because The Donald said so.

The tariffs will have a short-term negative impact, but they may provide significant long-term benefits, which is what Trump is aiming for. No pain, no gain, as they say.

I support the idea of tariffs, so long as they are transparent... IMO, Trump needs to do a better job communicating exactly what it is he wants to see corrected in order to stop the tariffs and return to normal trade.

We keep forgetting about those 7 years of feast and 7 years of famine that Joseph told us about.

Well, how come it took Obama more than 8 years to be successful? Slowest recovery ever.

You don't suppose it might have had something to do with so many regulation being lifted by Trump?

This news is a "duh" to most informed, unbiased Americans.

Only the Trumplings believe that Donald has implemented anything policy-wise that has boosted the already growing economy

You think recovery comes overnight? Blissfully ignorant.

The left is so fearful that President Trump might actually get credit for the improvements that he's made that they're pimping bull**** propaganda from the UK hoping that someone believes it. The left doesn't seem to understand that the average voter isn't as stupid as the average leftist voter.

Because he had no economic policy. I agree however that most the of recovery is not because of Trump. What I can say is that the tax cuts that finally gave something to the middle class and that the illegal rack down has given some negotiating power to poor labor. The Trump deficits are also more effective because they are along side healthier credit markets, for now anyway. The US economic system still suffers from the same disease which is:

An economy too dependent on cash flows from rising asset prices , particularly real estate.
