Bringing this information over from the OTHER threads:
In interviews she claimed her mother was of Cherokee and Delaware ancestry.
People have traced her ancestry back to 1824; all declared white. However she had one ancestor who was born in "Indian Territory" meaning outside of the recognized States at that time. This may be the source of the familial confusion.
There was no Native American DNA used in the sampling for her test. Her DNA was compared to Mexican, Peruvian, and Colombian DNA. The professor surmised that those ethnic groups make up the ancestors of Native Americans that she claimed heritage. So, at best, she has .098% - 1.6% similarity to Mexican, Peruvian, and Colombian DNA. The average European-American has .18% of this same DNA.
The Cherokee have checked their genealogy registers and found none of her ancestors in their histories.
She was deceptive claiming this heritage. She did this so she could become a minority law professor. She tried to rig her career to which she is not entitled.
Seriously?! 6-10 generations ago. Well then, I have just learned that I can now consider myself Native American. My grandmother on my mother's side was half-white, half Cherokee Indian. And my father's mother was a 1/4 or so Apache. So I figure with that mix I probably have far more Indian blood in my veins than Mrs. Warren. So if she can claim Native American, I suppose I can too. Then again, who really cares? Does anyone care that I am some percentage Native American? Do any of you actually care that Elizabeth Warren has some slight bit of Indian blood in her veins? Would any of you suddenly change your vote in favor of a person just because you found out they were part Native American? I seriously hope not.

I wouldn't vote for her even if she was my sister or mother LOL.
