I have compassion for other people and I am very socially liberal but when it comes down to it, we live in a dog eat dog world and seeing my paycheck go to other people hurts me when I’m just trying to survive myself.
But I thought people were taking home boatloads of money under Trump's tax cuts. Your math must be wrong.
I was one of those typical college liberals voting for social justice the past few elections. I finally joined the workforce and cry every time the government takes a grand from each pay check. I can only imagine how worse it’ll get if dems are in power. Never ever voting dem again.
You do realize people have been having money taken out of their pay checks from since forever, right? You think the GOP are gonna fix that? Whether you like it or not we all pay money out of our taxes to pay many programs, including social programs. I hope you don't think you get that grand back every paycheck with the Republicans in power, lol.

Infrastructure and education both produce positive externalities. Public services benefit me, even if I may not use them.

If you make enough to lose $1000 per check, you need to stop crying. EVER.

Just making sure he knows that money is going to be withdrawn every paycheck whether it will be Dems or Reps in power. I didn't call him deplorable. But he needs to wake up if he thinks the Republicans are gonna put more money in his pocket. Maybe if he were the 1%.
Also that money goes to several things, like infrastructure, military, etc.
I’m a lawyer so obviously I’m making more money than average. Hence higher taxes.
