I voted democratic for the first time in my life last week when I voted straight democrat down the ballot. hadn't even heard of half the people, but I didn't care. I saw the (D) next to their name so I bubbled it in.
America is such a beautiful country as all our voices can be heard.

I used to be a Democrat and an Al Gore fan and then I grew up and started to question things and do critical analysis... Then I came to the realization that Democrats ideals are fundamentally flawed and they keep spouting lies while trying to bribe people with entitlements...
It is these types of comments that really bother me as an American. And it always seems to come from some left leaning social liberal.. I don't know if that is you or not, just making an observation. So because people make a good bit of money, they should just shut up and not voice their concerns over how the government is robbing them to pay for people that could work but refuse to work?
America- where hard work and success is punished and deadbeats are rewarded... of course that is the socialist way.. it's make me want to puke. You want something, go earn it! Leave what I have earned alone, I don't need to feed any child but the ones that bear my last name.. period.

I'd agree and am a registered Libertarian. I consider libertarianism as a part of conservatism. We are the legitimate heirs of the classical liberal tradition with emphasis on the rights of the individual and in order to protect the individual, maintaining the free market, the rule of law and reigning in government, which ALWAYS becomes tyrannical when given too much power.
I was one of those typical college liberals voting for social justice the past few elections. I finally joined the workforce and cry every time the government takes a grand from each pay check. I can only imagine how worse it’ll get if dems are in power. Never ever voting dem again.

The turnout is amazing. At my normally quiet precinct people were almost running over others in the parking lot to get inside and vote. Folks were literally running or briskly walking. There was an old woman with a cane that appeared to be getting younger with every stride. It’s incredible the energy that’s out there.
