Technology allowed for increased coercion against other people by individuals, but even that didn’t change human’s fundamental nature.

Property is still handled by those who operate it, not those that have a piece of paper claiming it as theirs. These tools have been used to distort society, not evolve it, and that can be seen by the fact that even in capitalist and imperial societies, the principles of mutual Aid remain.

Replacing these institutions of centralized power with democratic bodies like worker cooperatives and syndicates allows for human nature to present itself without force.

So explain why your social systems in California have resulted in one of the worst states in the country? Worst in homelessness, worst in poverty, worst income inequality, 47th in education, worst state for quality of life. Maybe the real explanation is the left that pushes social programs are hypocrites who don't really care about helping others as long a they get theirs.

California's state policy is unfairly defined as left wing.

They do political support some welfare, but all these are done within the context of helping established corporate powers in the state.

They have a very elite economy were small businesses and cooperatives are not welcome. That has little to do with left wing thought and worker control of the means of production.
