Individual 1 supporters will try to justify anything. Yes, a private citizen can do business with Russia.
But and there is a big BUT.....Mueller is investigating the crime of conspiring and/or colluding with Russia to affect the outcome of the election while Trump was doing business with Russia. That's why it matters. If it didn't matter why is Individual 1 and his family lying about everything Russia? They knew it was wrong! It doesn't take a scientist.
It would have been unreasonable to expect Trump Org to divest itself of pending business transactions during the campaign, given the then uncertain outcome of the election.
The ethical thing to do was disclose, upfront. Instead, Trump chose to lie and Giuliani lied or was misinformed by his boss.
Oh I forgot.. Giuliani said “lies don’t matter unless under oath”.

It is 100% imperative if we are to change the deflecting culture that mention and accept the hypocrisy under Obama. It also has the double impact of pointing out Trump supporter hypocrisy for wanting to hold Obama accountable for less than they are willing to hold Trump accountable for.
People still don't get it that Trump is a business man first and not a politician.
When he was campaigning everyone from the Dems to the GOP to Obama himself telling us that Trump will never be President and poll after poll showed that if he became the nominee he was going to lose in a landslide but never the less he persisted...
Given all that why would Trump close up shop and quit his day job?
Trump is a business man first but he is certainly quickly learning the ways of politicians because all of them lie in one way or another. The thing is Trump's lies cause more outrage than any of the whoppers that Obama told ?
If it was an honest deal, why would he lie and say he had no connection to Russia?

Regardless of anything Obama or Hillary ever did or didn't do, it doesn't change Trump's situation in hte least. The only reason anyone deflects to Obama/HIllary is because they cannot defend Trump on his own merits.

You should bring up the fact that the Democrats were the racists 100 years ago, that is an effective deflection as well.
Exactly the point that the thick-skulled base can't seem to grasp.
They can't grasp anything beyond their deep, seething hatred and rage towards brown people and gay people and people who choose to believe science over superstition.
Abortion and gay marriage are the ultimate evils in this country and anything Trump did, even if corrupt or dishonest, is nothing compared to those national sins according to Trump supporters.
Why is it not a crime for the Hilton family to build Hotels in Russia? Since when has it become a crime to do business in other countries? Man you people have gone off the deep edge. The obsession with Russia is truly a derangement. Seek help immediately and stop checking for Russians under your bed. They're not bad people. China is more of a threat......geeesh
Not looking for them under my bed, but always alert for them on social media sites or whatever you call forums that spread information as gospel with no accountability.
