Given all that why would Trump close up shop and quit his day job?

Trump is a business man first but he is certainly quickly learning the ways of politicians because all of them lie in one way or another. The thing is Trump's lies cause more outrage than any of the whoppers that Obama told ?
No reason for him to have done so.
But, why did he find it necessary to lie, as has already noted in this thread, on multiple occasions about his business relationships with Russia?

Surely, if everything was aboveboard, there wouldn't have been any negative impact on his campaign, right?

Which fake outrage group can I join to go march on Washington with?
And lied about same.

Why do you think he did that?

Why did he claim multiple times during the campaign that he - the face of Trump International - had NO business dealings with Russia?

Why not just come out and talk about it?

They can't justify it.

It's not 3 years, it's 2 years.

The question is, how many more lies from your President can you tolerate?

You can't in good faith expect people to behave differently than you have done.

It is 100% imperative if we are to change the deflecting culture that mention and accept the hypocrisy under Obama. It also has the double impact of pointing out Trump supporter hypocrisy for wanting to hold Obama accountable for less than they are willing to hold Trump accountable for.
Absolutely it does, the Obama haters were out in full force on this forum when he was in office. Now the shoe is on the other foot, and they can't take it, they can certainly dish it out though.

Because the entire narrative of business dealings “with Russia” is a sham. This implys his deal is with the Russian government. This was a private deal with an Russian investment firm. If a Chinese company comes to the US for a project the narrative is not China has a deal with the United States.
