By law, it is the Federal government's responsibility:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flood_Control_Act_of_1928

The Flood Control Act of 1928 was enacted in response to floods in the Mississippi Valley in 1927, but it also covers the Sacramento River in California, a decidedly blue state.

You might want to do some research before asking such knee-jerk political questions.
But conservatives want less federal government and more state control. So you can’t have it both ways.

Gee, one of Trump's often stated campaign promises was to form an immigration force and quickly remove 11,000,000 illegals from the country. Since he's utterly failed at that I guess he's the one who wants to keep illegals in the country, eh?

He needs them to work at his properties, hidden and un-named.

Now he knew nothing about that, remember?

Trump also knew nothing about Cohen and the hush money. Knew nothing about his son, son-in-law and campaign manager meeting with a Russian operative. Knew nothing about his campaign manager conspiring with Russian agents. ...

For a man who claims that nobody knows more about a wide range of topics than he does, seems like he knows mighty little about what his own businesses, his own campaign manager, and his own lawyer are up to.

I'm wondering if he has any clue about what is going on at the border.

Demanding and sequestering govt employees is not the job of a president who is supposed to govern us all not just his personal maga base. Open the govt, pay the employees and put the dam thing to a national vote!

It is a lie that employers don't know that they have hired illegal employees. They choose not to confirm by asking straight out maybe, but they all know. They just do.

And sure they may go through the show of e-verify -- even when they know the documents are falsified....because they need the workers.

I'd bet that Trump couldn't even find Mexico on a map.

This guy robs a bank, which is illegal. Democrcats don't want to throw him in prison because we need to keep him with his family. Lord knows we can't separate him from his children....the democrats would have a fit if this guy goes to prison and can't be with his family. Guy and family are allowed to find the safety they need and family stays together and dad doesn't go to prison. The U.S. gives them free food and insurance and family is now safe.

To me that situation above sounds about as crazy as allowing illegals to come into this country illegally and we feed them and provide insurance. How is that right. They should be prevented from coming here. They are breaking the law and we allow it and reward it.
Where did you come up with this nonsense?
