“As I said, he is assuming that black people will not go pursue the full two-hour clip. … He is trying to present as if I was launching a defense of Hitler in Germany.”
Owens argued she was asked whether she believed in “nationalism.”

“I do not believe that we should be characterizing Hitler as a nationalist,” she said. “He was a homicidal, psychopathic maniac that killed his own people. A nationalist would not kill his own people.”

I guess people on here will only listen to what they want to hear----just like those in the committee.
How did you miss this Janelle?

"Whenever we say 'nationalism,' the first thing people think about, at least in America, is Hitler," she said. "You know, he was a national socialist, but if Hitler had just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, OK, fine."

She added: "The problem is that he wanted — he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize. He wanted everybody to be German, everybody to be speaking German, everybody to look a different way. That's not, to me, that's not nationalism. So in thinking about how we could go bad down the line, I don't really have an issue with nationalism. I really don't. I think that it's OK." https://www.businessinsider.com/ted-...omments-2019-4
The problem with Miss Owens is that she isn't real smart and says whatever she thinks will benefit her at the moment, just like she was against people using the N word when she found out that she could sue her High School for some white student calling her that, but after she got the settlement she went on to argue that "Racism Is 'Over' Because She Has 'Never Been a Slave'" Miss Owens is deeply conflicted and confused, she should probably get into therapy

I guess you don't believe the president lies either.

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. I simply pointed out a clear fact that she lied. CO said the Southern Strategy never existed. That's a clear lie. You are replying to my comment. I didn't reply to your comment. It seems like you are trying to do the convincing. It's replies like this that lack credibility when you clearly can't explain why you feel she didn't lie. I posted the links to back up her lies.

I'll repost her lie from one of the many sources again.

PS. She lied

Notice that we are no longer talking about how Ted Lueu was dishonest and how he was owned, we're instead defending Ms. Owens against things she clearly never said or implied.
That is so true. They sure did not want to hear what she had to say in the time allotted to her. Make her spend her time defending herself. From the Dem play book.

She's smart enough to realize that she doesn't have to defend her inane statements any further than it takes to dupe Trump-voting conservatives, and that has never been that hard. If your audience are the sort of people willing to believe you can't be a nationalist and a Nazi at the same time, how difficult can it be to sound convincing?

Of course nationalists - like the Nazis - will "kill their own people". Purification in the name of national purity is one of the inevitable consequences of nationalists gaining power. It may or may not be violent, but it quite often is.

There are blacks that would support nationalism but since the left is selling nationalism as white and racist it is a hard sell. Nationalism vs globalism has nothing to do with skin color.
Well if she is trying to do that (get more blacks into the GOP), she's doing it in a spectacularly ineffective manner. Blexit or WalkAway are just social media memes that are more talk than actual. Let's face it, Trump and his agenda just isn't real popular with Blacks, period. Don't see the GOP getting anywhere near the usual 10% of black voters that they'll get, nationwide on average.

Nothing wrong with black conservatives - there are many. However, if they are doing it by denigrating other black people and playing to white conservative imagery or talking points - many Black voters will not go for that and just see her as a hustler/opportunist. Like Omarosa.

Forget the globalist or nationalist issues - it's whether a black person is going to feel welcome in the party.

Why do people believe this flip flopper who was against Trump during the election but then realized people like Diamond and Silk got press coverage for praising Trump rather than knocking him. Candice even scrubbed her blog and Twitter of anti-conservative comments. She posted this in a 2015 blog, "bat-****-crazy antics of the Republican Tea Party... The good news is, they will eventually die off (peacefully in their sleep, we hope), and then we can get right on with the OBVIOUS social change that needs to happen, IMMEDIATELY."

What would that be? Socialism or Communism?

I am so sure the Dems should be talking about who’s smart... They elected AOC to congress.
I rest my case.

Obviously you have never read the book...
You should read Uncle Tom and then comeback and tell us what Uncle Tom's role was.
Clue: He was not the House Boy of the Plantation.
