Ted Lieu won that battle -- destroyed the idiot Candace Owens with her own words.
The woman has NO credibility after saying the Republican "Southern Strategy" is a myth. LOL!
And saying Hitler woulda been a good guy if he didn't invade other countries? Wonder what Jesse Owens would say about that....
The way that the left tries to tell it, it is absolutely a myth. It's actually more than a myth, it's an outright lie.
Lieu did not win that battle, because if you had actually watched the entire thing, she was able to respond to him later when someone yielded their time for her to respond - which Lieu was too chicken s_it to address her after making the accusation with an edited video. She didn't say Hitler was a good guy. She said he was a homicidal psychopathic maniac. Maybe you should watch it again, in full. If you didn't watch it in full, then maybe stop allowing the msm to tell you what happened and see for yourself.

What he didn't include was the question she was asked. What he didn't do was put it into context. What he did was edit the video - as that is all the left has: smears and lies. They have NOTHING else to go on. They stand for nothing. All they can do is lie to try to fool the mouth breathers in the population who buy their BS hook, line, and sinker.
Candace Owens surprised me yesterday. I have been very skeptical of her, didn't trust her at all after her little doxxing website she set up, and never thought she was a Republican. I think she said in the beginning of that hearing that she's a Democrat, but, she likes Trump. So, she's not a Republican, she just likes Trump. That's not unusual as there are many more who are not Republicans who like Trump.
Anyway, regardless of her affiliation, I still didn't trust her. Yesterday, however, she really went into them, completely unafraid. Her tone made it very clear that she was not going to sit back and allow the left to continue to lie. She called them out, right from the start - in her introduction - all the way to the end to the last Republican who had time to speak and ask questions. The last chunk of that hearing was nothing but a Dem circle jerk, each trying to out virtue signal the rest.
Despite how much I've mistrusted her, I was impressed by her showing yesterday. She did well.

I actually don't have any problems at all with the word 'nationalism.' I think that it gets, the definition gets poisoned by elitists that actually want globalism. Globalism is what I don't want. So when you think about, whenever we say 'nationalism,' the first thing people thing about, at least in America, is Hitler. You know, he was a national socialist, but if Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, okay fine. The problem is ... he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize. He wanted everybody to be German. Everybody to be speaking German. Everybody to look a different way. ... To me that's not nationalism. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...sh/2818679002/
And? Nowhere in there did she call Hitler "great" as some of you on the left are stating. Nor does any of what she said imply that she thinks he's great. She simply stated that if Hitler wanted everyone in Germany to be German, speak German, and make Germany great, then that's fine. As she pointed out - that you all are not comprehending - had he NOT tried to do that to the rest of the world, no one would be talking about Hitler to this day, because you would have barely even heard of him. There would have been no holocaust. There would have been no war. What he did was NOT "nationalism". That's her damn point.
Owens has a good cause of trying to lead blacks out of the {D} party the only real big problem is she leads them right into the arms of the {R} party. Is that really a win?
Uh, she's unlikely to be leading black people at all in any direction. Owens' shtick is playing to right wing white people and telling them what they like or want to hear. It's unlikely that her public utterances are winning any favors from most black voters.
It's probably better to say that she's an oppportunist or hustler - and making her coin off of (conservative) white people.
What is factually or morally wrong about what she said? Which sentence? Which words? Something beyond that "great" and "Hitler" were used in the same paragraph.
Are you referring to Barack Obama pre-2008? Everything you wrote applied to him, yet I'm sure you voted for him twice to be President.
He was a constitutional law professor at a top US university, a US Senator, an author and a keynote speaker at a major political party nominating convention. I do not argue he was the best president ever but the idea that Candace Owens is on equal footing is a farce.
I still wonder why she was invited to speak by the R Congressperson as there are plenty of conservatives with credentials more in line with Obama's pre-2008 (and specifically pre-2004) who would better present their argument. There are also plenty of people in law enforcement and investigative roles who could have offered their thoughts. She was obviously placed there by someone hoping for this type of tripe as opposed to more meaningful explanations.

Here’s the problem with that statement.
In her argument she completely discounts the extermination of German Jews, Romanis, and others, who the NAZIs considered undesirable. Either by tacit acceptance, or her ignorance, she was fine with Hitler’s evil leadership as long as it stayed within the borders of Germany.

She said it and she was called on it.
Exactly, just as the Trumpists are fine with him being an American dictator as long he is only America's dictator. These people do not believe in democracy and I would bet you a thousand dollars that Donald Trump has NEVER read the U.S. Constitution and that he would utterly fail an American history test. The man barely reads. He is a complete embarrassment to our country and the laughing stock of the world.
