Not only is Iran twice the size of Iraq, unlike Iraq, they actually have a military.

Totally irrelevant.

And, your operational planning skills are severely lacking, as is your knowledge.

See this....

...game over in 30 days.

You should know Khuzestan already tried to secede once. This time, they can declare independence and get it.

US now controls 80% of Iran's oil and natural gas, all Iranian ports are blockaded, all air travel is shut down, the Iranian government has no means of collecting any monies for anything.

Iranians have no electricity, no water, no food, no gasoline, no diesel, no transportation, no work because there's no electricity, water or commerce, and nothing to do but fight government forces.

If you thought US troops would be running around Iran, you thought wrong.

US troops don't have to do a damn thing, except sit in Khuzestan and watch Iran implode.

If the Balochs rebel and demand independence, then it sucks to be the Iranian government.

If the Kurds in the northwest rebel and demand independence, then it sucks twice as much to be the Iranian government.

With no food, no electricity, no running water, no gas, no diesel and no money, and all the rail and highway infrastructure torn up, and with the people revolting, the only thing the Iranian government can do is embrace the suck.

Always with the leading definitions.

“One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line.”

President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998.

“If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction program.”

President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998.

“Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face.”

Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998.

“Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.”

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998.

“Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.”

Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program.
He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.”

Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

Couple of statements to support the war by people who had been connected pre-Bush.

Aircraft carrier and supporting destroyers floating around the gulf protecting us from this mysterious threat which at this point is still lacking in detail. I think we will eventually get what we want, an incident.

Off course.. the US military can easily destroy any 3rd world country and most 1st world countries with a few bombing runs.

But now you have pissed of 80million Iranian, who are actually quite fond of the US and Europe but ruled by a Minority Religious leaders.

Now you have to constantly have troops there to make sure the Iranians do squash the Kurds and Kuhz after you leave... then you have to build up the infrastructure again or watch hundreds of thousands die due to lack of food, water and medical supplies.. But hey, millions of Iraqis died because of US invasion.. so why should one care... right?

Now, you have irritated and attacked ALL of the Muslim religious factions and stolen their natural resources.. Guess Cheney was right.. gotta stay in the region for a 100 years.
