This is the guy running for Alabama senator against Roy Moore. He has also stated that we need laws that being back more "family oriented" TV shows like Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and the Andy Griffith show and that we need to ban homosexual activity from being shown on television. He believes the top problems in our country today stem from the fact that we've "turned our backs on God" which in Republican speak means we give people freedom to not be fundamentalist Christians.
Do you agree or disagree with Tuberville? Is this what "small government" looks like? Is this what freedom looks like?
If a politician was less publicly open about their Christian views and views that could be seen as anti-LGBT, do you think they might make the news as much or become as famous/infamous?

This is a trick question, right?
Theocracy might be fun - for a second or two. However, I'll be more impressed with the Evangelical crowd when/if they ever begin to follow the teachings of Christ. The calls to come to Jesus are as fake as their political stance is. These supposed "Christians" are just fine with the humanitarian crisis on our southern border and couldn't care less about the little kids and even babies taken from their parents and the cruel treatment of all migrants seeking asylum status, etc., etc.
However, if Faux wants to just start showing Gunsmoke and replaces Hannity knows best with Father Knows Best, I would have no objection.
Well its Alabama, basically a 3rd world country within our borders along with the likes of MS, Louisiana etc. so best ignore whatever their leaders say. I would be more fearful if the leader of an important state like NY, CA, WA, MA or even TX or FL made such a statement.

There you are, folks. States aren't Important, unless they're....large in land mass? Heavily-populated? Or just other than deep-south states in your own country? Yeah, we know what you mean.

Looks to me like the RNC may be attempting to primary out Roy Moore.
where did Tuberville say we should ban homosexuality from TV?
He sounds principled. You may agree or disagree with his principles, but it is a tenet of Christianity & Judaism to put God first. Love your neighbor as yourself is 2nd.
What would Jesus do? Not what the GOP advocates, that's for darned sure.
Jesus was a Middle Eastern refugee. That’s ironic given the conservative stance toward Syria and Yemen.
