I really don't think Pence is a shoe-in for the nomination. A lot of people on either end of the political spectrum have some serious concerns about him. He was not elected as VP; the cynics might say he was selected to try to appease the religious portions of the Republican base since Trump's personal proclivities aren't exactly what they typically gravitate toward. I don't think he has much support on his own.

Will the republican party ever elect a female or black president?

For all of Obama's two terms, republicans firmly disagreed that they were racist. But again there has never been a non-white male republican candidate in the final race.
I wanted to see Dr. Condi Rice run back in 08

I fail to see why gender has anything to do with the presidency.

Did you see her performance as our Ambassador to the UN? She was awesome. Strong. Smart. Saying things that had long needed to be said, and nobody in that role had demonstrated the courage to say them.

Nikki Haley is one of the few potential candidates of any party and of either sex that has:

1) Foreign policy experience (UN Ambassador),
2) Executive experience in government (Governor-two terms)
3) Real, substantial accomplishments in her government leadership roles

In fact, I challenge anyone to name two other such people in our country who can claim those three bullet points. She will be a formidable challenger if she decides to run.

And there is not a Democrat woman alive who can even hold a candle to her in terms of character, skills and accomplishments. Not on any one of those three criteria. Not even close.

And please notice that none of that in any way emphasizes on the fact that she has female plumbing.

Nikki would appeal to a lot of centrists and moderate Democrats. She would be tough to beat.

She did a great job of hiding her fangs, if this wasn't photoshoppped.

I watched her here as governor in Columbia up close and personal. She is a conscienceless snake with no agenda but self-aggrandizement. She DO love a camera...

She is the obvious choice isn't she. She would be a find President even if I don't agree 100% with all of her policies. I doubt there is any politician I would be 100% in agreement with.

Can you identify her substantial accomplishments?
