If Trump wants to prevent military deaths how about removing the tens of thousands in Afghanistan.
He backed off of that.

Trump's most recent tweet - 12:16AM - 10/10/19:

In case the Kurds or Turkey lose control, the United States has already taken the 2 ISIS militants tied to beheadings in Syria, known as the Beetles, out of that country and into a secure location controlled by the U.S. They are the worst of the worst!

What happened to his breezy assurance a few days ago, that the Turks would take care of ISIS?

The two Beetles won't be a problem. So no worries.

The logic escapes me.

Im pretty sure advocating to get the US military involved in another regional quagmire, one where both sides are unknowns and its likely to cost billions if not trillions over the long haul as well as getting people killed and maimed, isnt a good barometer for sanity.

You may wanna get checked out.

Uh, but we pretty much owned Europe and formed them afterwards. Surely you aren't, for example, assigning blame to Modern Germany to the Kaiser?

Using that "logic" we should get busy paying trillions in reparations here and in Vietnam and many other places in the world.

I'm talking more recent history. Europe somewhat admitted they were relatively powerless in the modern age. UK went broke and pulled back from Empire. We, on the other hand, expanded many times over.

Need I mention the Saudi-AMERICAN oil company? Or the Shah? Or Israel? Sure, UK was involved (pulling out,..but again, they admitted they were broke)....

How far do we go back? Iraq and even Syria were somewhat stable before our aggressions and occupations...recent history.

Remember, you have the "chosen one" here specifically saying that he is going to wipe out countries that don't do what we think is right, so it's not like we've put up a giant peace sign.

Sorry but the problems of the middle east are NOT our concern at this stage. These people have been killing each other for thousands of years. Pull the troops out, and use them for U.S. border security and to prevent any terrorist activity here at home.

Now the rest of the world has wised up and the Future is one where the USA won't be trusted anywhere for anything. No, not because of this ONE move. One can debate that.

But one cannot debate that this POTUS has proven a bad ally to...well, our allies and everyone else. Of course, he likes Saudis and folks like that. Why?

Wait...are you actually saying countries that routinely screw us on trade, spend less than 2% of their GDP on military expenses (since we shoulder most of that burden) and talk **** about us non-stop might not knock on our door the next time they want us to intervene, at our own expense, in their ****ing international disputes?

Well, boo-****in'-hoo!!

No to all the above. Then why the Hell did we involve ourselves in the first place and why are we still there? Syria doesn't want us there. Syria's allies dont want us there. ISIS became a real problem because we went there.

How many of these people crying that we need to stay have sons or daughters serving in the region? I don't but I have served in the region. We don't understand them and they dont understand us nor want us there.

It isn't our fight and certainly not worth risking escalating the war.
Exactly. The...interesting factor is that many of those now calling for the sacrifice of the lives of Americans for the sake of ME Muslims-are the same people that decried the loss of life when we sacrificed Americans for the sake of the people of Iraq. Some of us have learned from that mistake. Some haven't-or simply don't care about the death of Americans, so long as it allows them to attack the president.

There is NO reason to have US troops involved. ME Muslims have been slaughtering each other for over a millenia-throwing American lives into the mix is foolish. No one in the ME is worth it.

Bring our troops home, secure our borders...and perhaps add Turkey to the list of countries who's citizens are banned from entering the US.
