There was this obsession with integration on the left and with the melting pot among classical liberal republicans in the late 20th century. However all the politics of the late 20th century are obsolete as America is fragmenting.
The melting pot is what works not the salad bowl of today where ethnic groups do not assimilate (melt) out in mainstream America. Yes, America is fragmenting and that's not a good thing. It's culture clash gone array.

The idea of one blended humanity is asking everyone to give up their ancestral cultures. If new immigrants are expected to assimilate into mass American culture than as Whites become a minority they will also be expected to assimilate into one mass society. It is not just an erasure of culture but also an attempt at erasing distinct genetic traits. It is anti-diversity and pro-homogenization into one grey blob. What is mass American culture now?

I never said that immigrants have to give up their native cultures. What I said is they can practice them all they want in their homes. It's only expected for them to assimilate out in mainstream America. Why even mention race? It's about American culture not race being lost via too much legal immigration and mostly illegal immigration. That is neither natural nor lawful. If you don't know what American culture is then you must not be one. Let me give you just one hint.....the English language and it is native to both white and black Americans.

In reality they just wanted more bodies. One of the downsides to Capitalism folks; need for labor and consumers; lots of them. It’s the lynchpin of the system actually.

America has many regional cultures but even White Americans, let alone new immigrants, share the same culture. This is not new and was even the case in the 19th Century.

Liberals call it segregation and conservatives call it failed multi-culturalism. The pro-enclavist centrists must be doing something right if both MAGA and the Woke left oppose it.
We had that in the past...they were called deed restrictions or deed covenants that required that the real estate property could only be sold to people of certain ethnicities or could not be sold to people of certain other ethnicities or race.
Such deed covenants were struck down by the SCOTUS 1948 ruling in Shelley v Kraemer as a violation of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause. Deeds could have such covenants, but they were unenforceable.
It appears that some in the Alternate Right movement are trying to bring back segregation, but they feel the need to invent a new term to disguise their efforts.
One thing I am thankful for is that those days are over. No more racial restrictive covenants. People are free to live wherever they want to live. When we had "enclavism", it was enforced through the law. Sundown laws, Jim Crow, "no Blacks" clauses, etc.
I agree that the Alt-Right likely wants to bring back segregation and "no Blacks allowed" laws. Members of the Alt-Right want to try and portray it as harmless, or try to make it look like it isn't the case.
