This is a great example of the level of blindness and stupidity on this court. It is NOT enshrined in the constitution so it’s not a “protection” nor right. How do these twits make it this far?

Justices Breyer, Sotomayor and Kagan wrote with "sorrow" for the "millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection."

98% of abortions are not performed because the woman is a victim of rape or incest. So you are saying lots of pro choice people are ok with with 98% of abortions being banned. I don't believe that is true at all.

The pendulum never stops swinging. When it goes too far one way, it always swings back hard the other.

The next time, let's hope women's rights to autonomy in her healthcare choices comes in the form of an Amendment.

No one is getting rid of contraceptives. If nothing else, “evil” Republicans don’t want more brown babies, remember?
Ah but those "brown" babies are low on the totem pole and could be used as slaves! and yes they will get rid of at least some contraceptives since some interfere with the implantation of a fertilized egg.
When one state can kill its women by restricting abortion even if a womans life is in the balance due to a dangerous pregnancy, Roe was not bad law.

actually that was maggie sanger...lol

but I am watching this closely as this decision is now a security alert - let the gunfire begin sort of issue. absent from ALL discussion is the fact that RBG would have struck R v. W and even said so and same with Breyer who besides 'arkancide', didnt want to have to join the majority opinion

I just watched a practicing constitutional lawyer plainly state, if the people want universal legalized abortion - codify it - but that people are too cowardly. 63% said leave the law alone, yet 54% said abortion should be illegal. curious disconnect eh?

couple years back the left was plainly warned when the VA gov put forth a very vocal movement that abortion should apply AFTER birth as well, it would trigger this. The learned left said as one 'no it wont' and......here we are.

The only reason this is a big issue is the abortion industry is a huge lobbying group. At the end of the day, this won’t change much. Women can still get abortions in most places and if not can go to a state where it is legal.

Thumbs up Roe vs Wade overturned, and the protection of federalism restored

.
Today is a glorious day in the United States for women who have the protection of federalism restored to them ___ a protection which defeats the authoritarian revolutionaries who want to rule over every one of the united states and the people therein with an iron fist as they do in Cuba.

Actually, the Tenth Amendment forbids the federal government from sticking its fricken nose in those matters which, ". . .in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State." See Federalist No. 45.

Today is a wonderful day in the United States for those who defend federalism, our Constitution's big-tent system, which authoritarian revolutionaries detest with a passion.

Abortion is not and never has been an issue for educated, responsible people....and today's decision is of no consequence to them. It is those far from meeting either standard who are losing their minds today.
