A business visa (B1) is not a proper visa for work either, just to be here for business purposes (convention, buying, etc...)
That seems to be different if one owns one's own business. There is no law against an illegal alien owning a business in the US.

Why pay Bill a $22/hr living wage when Suzie who is on disability will work at $8/hr? And she has her own health insurance so that's another cost the company doesn't have to worry about.
If it's a major corporation it's likely publicly traded. The owners are the shareholders. And who are the shareholders of major corporations? The 100 million American workers and retirees who have, in aggregate, $37.5 trillion worth of investments in their pension plans and retirement accounts, including major corporation stock shares.

I am glad that you conveniently ignore every ignorant point you said.
So? If the (supposedly fair) evident pillaging of the middle class (lower class is toast, always was) continues, our country is going to collapse. Wealth inequality cannot continue to rise as it has, forever. Something's gotta give, people will stop having kids and working (happening now?), and you can use your imagination what large swaths of people who have nothing to lose behave. That's not even a veiled threat towards the elite, the undesirables will probably get violent each other. No need to say you don't care about anyone but you and your own, we already know.

My question is, why are we like this at all? We could be SO, SO much more utopian than we are now, but the behavior of a few is ruining everything civil society stood for. We are in the information age, an absolute technological powerhouse (heck, we ARE the advanced aliens) yet our selfish, short-sighted primate nature is evident. It's nice that you can stick your head in the sand, though. More power to you.

Same reason why communes almost always fail and why the US has a permanent underclass. Once people realize they will still be supported while contributing nothing, many prefer to contribute nothing as that's much less work.

Why are we not being better people? Because half the population is really stupid. I don't mean ignorant. I mean low IQ.

Who's strawman where? I can't tell if your comment is ripping me or not, as demolishing strawmen is good, but socialism is usually derogatory. If so, ok, rip away

I kind of agree. It's apparent to me that we're not ready for an improved, stable society. I just wonder why we slipped so hard. A lot of different ways to approach that.

Because it doesn't work. It's the shell game deluded people go for every time. When we type in "insanity," it is what M-W shows as an example.

When the rich buy or consume something, who exactly do you think produced it? Other rich people? No. It was the middle and lower class who have jobs due to the consumption of the rich.

Go to a local Louis Vuitton store or BMW dealership and look at the employees, they would all be out of a job if it wasn’t for the elite/rich who can afford to routinely buy that stuff. Same for cars, yachts, houses, luxury hotels, resorts, property, clubs, watches, electronics, shoes, wine, art, etc. and any other premium or expensive item or service on planet earth that would not exist without the rich buying it.

You think you paid for your plane ticket seat in economy? LOL it was the first and business class seats who paid for that flight and the salaries of the employees, you’re just lucky they squeezed some economy seats in it.
