Absolutely right. White people get offended as hell if you slur them, just like everyone else does. This idea that white folks are a bunch of robots is bull.

Still, it's one thing to be called something by someone of your own race/culture and having an outsider do the same thing. It's not the same.
It's no different than a black person (who i'm familiar with) using the N word with me, and having a white person use it. It ain't the same no matter how you slice it.
If a black or other non-white person refers to a white person as 'white trash,' they're gonna be p*ssed off about it, and i don't give a damn how much you protest to the contrary....it's a fact.
Now what happens after that is another issue, but the initial response will damn sure be anger. Period, point blank.
I never really gave it much thought, but now that I do, I have come up with some interesting conclusions. If you called me a Jewish slur, I would be offended. This is especially strange because I dont even believe in my (or any) religion, yet I would take it personally. But if you were to call me a white slur, like kracker or honky, it would just roll right off my shoulders. Wouldn't bother me at all. I'm not sure why that is, it just is.
Cracker, could mean Georgie Cracker or Florida Cracker due to Southern Heritage. WHite Trash, I dunno mayeb they just have accepted living in a low income area? Though I think that is offensive anyway.
How about Redneck? Country music fans and "Cowboys" love that!
Sure, some whites will be offended.....but they won't go out and riot over it.
They won't riot, but they would surely be out there in front of MSNBC with signs, protesting. There's no reason to think blacks would "riot" over the "N" word being used, as evidenced by the fact its used a lot, and riots are exceedingly rare.
If someone called me a "cracker", I would probably burst out laughing.
