I am a student of history. Professionally. I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied it all my life. I think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes, these exist but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus. Something of historic proportions is happening. [mod edit: copyright]

Interesting and more than a little curious that with all of your premonitions and foreboding, you make no particular mention of the past crucial eight years of a crime family running the country.
That was just the preparation for the next chaos that we will be experiencing. This is not about parties but control of people, about doing what a few think is best for the many. It is all about loosing individual rights with the excuse of a pending crisis. Bush may have started it but Obama has put the pedal to the metal. Hang on it is going to be a rough ride for the majority. Sheep, ah you got to love them.

Any student of histroy would realise that it takes time and then looking back at events to judge. Even economist that have to judge and predict the future are not so sure.If you first make cliams of being a athority then you need to actually state what you have pubished as far as books ;articles and you background fully to include degreees and histporial assocaition positons held .
Interesting parallels but the big question I have is: with whose army? I just don't see a left-wing POTUS being able to get a right-wing-dominated military to go along with any diabolical plans.

Exactly what individual rights do you deem to be under act at present. Please point to specific proposed legislation, or executive orders.
Read the Patriot Act. Read the newspapers. The terrorist list is now at over 1 million names. You don't know if you're on it and if you are you don't know why.
NAIS, RFID in driver license, passport, state ID's. Central databases with all our medical history managed by the government. The bills are written in Congress and circulating.
Telephone companies not needing warrants to tap your phone.
All this in the name of "war on terror". And it's all for our protection. It's all around you but subtle. Install fear and then a means to protect you from that fear.
Take off the tinfoil hat for a moment and go do some internet reading. Yes there is lots of way out tinfoil but there are facts out there. Put the pieces of the puzzle together for yourself and come to your own conclusions.
You won't realize you've lost your freedoms until they are already gone. Once gone you won't get them back so easily "in the next election".
