Agreed. But some people feel the absolute need to put a label on everything and force others into their ideology. I'm a libertarian moderate that leans towards liberalism... yeah, it's contradictory and kinda weird, but it works for me.
i guess the fact that the republicans nominated mccain is only significant to me. the guy was hated by the right wing. we all know that. so how is the republican party too far right if their nominee was hated by the right?

what i mean by this is that you have to pick and choose your battles. i had a co-worker that votes strictly with his religious beliefs. example:the most important topics to him in this previous election were gay marriage, and abortion. to me they were the economy and the war.
