Do you have ANY idea how absolutely insane it sounds for you to say you believe in the Bible and Guns????
The two are absolutely diametrically opposed...
Unless, of course, you can quote the chapter and verses where it is written that it is OK for a believer to own an AR-15 or Ak-47 with an extended clip, or a shot gun, or even a simple assault rifle (semi-automatic at best of course - no fully automatic weapons could ever be allowed by the Bible)...
Oh - I see - when it is written in the Bible 'He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword' - you took it literally - and felt that it was a conscious exemption by God that allowed fully and semi-automatic weapons to slip thru with his blessing...
ROFLMAO!!!
My belief in god is personal: my belief that I should protect my family is rooted in the real life. The right to own guns equal to the military was what our forefathers put in the Bill of Rights so if the government got to oppresive that the armed citizen could have a say. An unarmed citizen is a slave to the government.
In reality today's core values of the so-called religious right were once mainstream America. It used to be common sense and proper manners to not use drugs recreationally, to engage in sexuality after you took your wedding vows, to righfully shun abnormal lifestyles such as homosexuality, to not regard the unborn as an accident worthy of abortion, to take responsibility for your own actions without playing the blame game, to be able to afford things before you bought them, to be proud of being an American citizen, to be a legal immigrant that speaks proper English, to be willing to fight for your country, to not fear admitting your faith in God.
Those are beliefs of the so-called religious right, and there is not a single thing wrong with any of them. Society along the way has lost its morality, and we are dearly paying the price for it. The so-called religious right represents mainstream, common-sense family, moral values. To us the pro-homosexuality, pro-amnesty, abortion-on-demand, non-religious, socialist liberal minds of today are the radicals.

So - you're saying that you should have the right to buy up to, lets say, a 50 caliber machine gun??? Equal to the military???
My belief in God is personal. My belief in owning guns is in the Bill of Rights that our forefathers put there. The reason it was put there was that a citizen could be equally armed as the govenment. If the government became to oppresive then the citizens have the right to change the attitude of the govenment. Unarmed citizens are nothing but a slave to some governments and are kept that way in fear.
Government in fear of it's citizens equals freedom. Citizens in fear of it's government equals slave.
I support bans on felons...otherwise, no. How can I fight against the military with a 240B if I don't have a 240B?
You shouldn't fight against the military...you have the right IMO to fight against someone invading your home, your vehicle, threatening your life or the life of someone else in a public place, etc.
But giving regular citizens access to military-caliber weapons is a frightening idea.
