OK, well then, when a democrat disappears for four days over father's day weekend and his family has no idea where he is, come on back and we can compare dem vs. rep. reactions.
I'm just wondering why they stated that the last activity on his cell phone came from Atlanta GA if he is on the Apalacian Trail???????????? Enquiring minds want to know. Last I looked the Trail didn't wend its way through Atlanta.
Like I said, the governor has no authority over this, as was proven in state court. The Californian blog entry you posted confirms this.
He also has no authority over the state budget.
?! You're not serious, are you?
He refused to apply the money where it was supposed to go -- to his state's schools, which are some of the worst in the nation. He wanted to skip the needy schools -- why? see below -- and pay some of SC's other debt with it. Im sure SC taxpayers enjoyed paying for the court spectacle in which he was made to take the money for the purpose it was intended; The Los Angeles Times indeed confirms that.
(And he *is* interested in the education of South Carolina's children! Some of them!
In the 2004, 2005, and 2006 legislative sessions, South Carolina governor Mark Sanford championed a state system of tax credits for parents who send their children to private or parochial schools, or home-school them.....The majority of South Carolina's poor and minority students live in rural areas without private or parochial school options available. They also attend underfunded schools.

Yeah, the closest part of the A.T. to Atlanta is several miles north of Helen. Helen is 90 minutes from Atlanta.
This guys story makes no sense.
Welcome to the GOP Presidential Primaries, Mr. Governor. You're going to fit right in.
It's so funny that you right wingers bash Obama, who's a good dad, and defend this guy, who runs out on his family and has to be covered up for. Until his story falls apart, that is...then you'll attack the reporters who uncover the truth.
Funny, I mean sickening.
So funny that you apparently voted for Dad of the United States of America and not President of the United States of America.
I thought liberals we all about staying out of people's personal lives?
The Appalachian Trail winds it's way all the way up to Maine...it goes through SC I believe up near Oconee(might be wrong, that part of the state is quite distant from pretty much anywhere...).
Quite interesting few actual news outlets considered this a story...just the usual leftist trash sites frequented by the loons....hmmm and yet it is considered a big deal by a lot of folks here who don't even live in this state...
