Thank you. I am French , meet the village idiot.... Pray do tell why France tops the idiot list ? Your vast knowledge and wisdom could help me to improve my mind, strength of character and generally develop in an intellectual acceptable manner to fit in with the US.
I could really do with some lessons in cogitation and sentient philosophical ruminations of the highest order. One should always aim to improve oneself after all...
Please do not use too many big words though, my little French mind is not up to that much as you can imagine . Being an idiot is so awfully hard, all that empty space between the ears, not being able to tie my shoes laces and of course the utter inability to think in a logical and sensible fashion. Such a rare activity for people of my Nationality.
So spare a thought for this unfortunate and be gentle. One should not mock the afflicted, it is surely terribly bad manners. Keep it simple and I might just be able to flow of your learned lecture on the country of my birth.
Now yur reply is really funny to a american;thinks for explaining. As they say ;you can tell a frenchman something but not too much.
Coming from Fox's sidekick, Telegraph.co.uk: resorts to sensationalizing the headlines to incite "outrage".
Shouting at your partner will not be crimilized. RTFA!
it is expected to cover every kind of slur from repeated rude remarks about a partner's appearance, false allegations of infidelity and threats of physical violence.
No where does it say "yelling"
This is NOT about YELLING you morons.

You're welcome ! Always pleased to help. I'm a French-Woman by the way ( well, getting on for being a Brit by now after 21 years in Old Blighty) so it's even worse because my pretty little brain is even tinier than my more fortunate male counterparts. Woe is little me.
What shall I do but cook ,bake, breed and defer to my betters with a penis?
Verbal threats are still threats. Threatening is, even in our law, an assault. That is a crime.
Incorrect. It must contain an "immediate" threat of violent or offensive contact.
For instance, If I say "Pow! to the moon Alice!" and I am not in the immediate vicinity (in action to attack) or in a position to purpose immediate threat of violence or offensive contact, then no... it is not an assault.
laws concerning "threats" mostly require a vehicle that legitimizes them. Verbal comments without the vehicle are simply hot air and the law treats them as such.
Violence was not mentioned and there are already laws for those situations.
Stay on topic
Again, RTFA:

Yelling at someone can be considered a threat or an assault. A man does not have a right to commit an assault. Assault is already a criminally illegal act. France is apparently pointing this out. Maybe their men will think before they start yelling at and beating their women.
I knew it wouldn't be long until somebody clouded yelling and beating in order to support this non-sense. What ever it takes right Greg?
