Why do liberals hate the south so much? (generation, conspiracy, Alabama)

I'm liberal and I'm from Virginia...

But to answer your question, northerners tend to have a skewed perception of what the South is like. Maybe you should reword your question to "why do northerners hate the south?"

I generally consider myself to be a liberal and I certainly don't "hate" the South.

My questions for the OP: Is it possible that you've formed a false impression of liberals? Do you "hate" liberals?

Because they have way too much of the 'ances'. You know, ignorance and arrogance. Because they are always a generation behind the rest of the country in just about everything.

Because they are always whining about how nobody likes them. self fulfilling prophecy. Knew some kids in high school like that. didn't like them either.

Not sure, but I'm no liberal either. Maybe because the south tends to be more republican than the northern states?

Because the Southern states tend to breed more insane nutters going on about "gub'mint conspiracies" and worried that the big bad government is going to come take their guns before herding them into concentration camps, which are probably run by a council made up of liberals, the Illuminati, and FEMA.

I am not saying all Southerners are this way, but as you scroll through the threads and see all the insane conspiracy ramblings, notice where most of them are from.

They scream louder than the average, intelligent, soft-spoken Southern gentle-people, and therefore skew people's perceptions.
