You don't get it and probably never will.

It is not about right, or left. It is about the constitution and 1st amendment rights of free speech. If you, like Obama, want to make it what it is not, I'll have to label you like him, a liar, or just plain ignorant. Which is it?

Hell, Obama raised over 2 million illegally from foreign corporations and individuals during his campaign and got away with most of it.

Kudos to Alito for his shaking his head and saying "Not true" as Obama stood there chastising the Supreme Court last night. We need more Alitos who will be clear on their stand in disagreement rather than the bobble heads who agree with Obama REGARDLESS of what comes out of his mouth.
Poor Alioto. He appears just as much a neanderthal as the man who appointed him. It looked to me like he was shaking his head because he, like the party he prefers, is absolutely clueless.

Glad Obama put the spotlight on him. The more light that is shown on the conservative members of the SC, the worst those suckers look.

My gut reaction to the news report as phrased was one of surprise and disappointment. But then the rational voice reminded me that the only basis of judgement is to actual read the case as brought before the SCOTUS and to read their majority and minority opinions. Until I do this, I cannot possibly offer a strong opinion on this ruling either way.

Yet. when I eyeball the responses on this thread, what I see are visceral reactions based on the media reports and press releases from the White House--both of which are imperfect and biased voices.

Suggestion: how about we raise the standard of this discussion over what seems at first glance to be an important issue? How about we examine the case and rulings as handed down not as filtered by reporters who majored in Communications in university?

This would be better than angry reactions against this decision based on predisposition.

Bush dropped a trillion dollars, then waved and smiled as he departed with his lovely wife, leaving the country headed for another Great Depression. This after LYING to go to war.

Being a supporter of the village idiot, I guess you're among those who really do believe that "dreams take wing."

President Obama far superior and doing a damn good job...you bet!

How does correcting a factual error, i.e. Obama's self serving misreading of the SCOTUS decision, show bias? Obama was wrong and Alito corrected him. Simple as that.

Obama's presidency is over. He's been an abject failure. And that makes me very happy.
