Such things elude the right wing mind.
I agree, anything that would prompt people to think about facts and evaluate issues, is very left wing. It is so much easier to simply provide the listener with his/her thoughts.

I can't decide if I'm impressed with NPR for fooling so many into thinking they are fair, or disappointed with all those who can't figure it out.

NPR and NYT have the liberal sheeple right under their thumbs. Even when they've been exposed so often for their biased, slanted reporting and other scandals the brainwashed libs still think these two entities are the be all end all to modern media.

"FOS news"? Another sad victim of the liberal public education system.

Heck, they are funded by the Cato Institute, which is a pro-capitalist, libertarian institution.

There news features seem pretty open to all interpretations, and how can their artistic programming (jazz programming, Thistle and Shamrock, etc.) even be considered political at all? Any thoughts?

Probably for the same reasons they think that MSNBC is biased- it is!

But WHY don't liberals see it?? That is the question that will forever baffle me.
It is so interestisng that they can see with such clarity that FOX leans right but it is just beyond their scope to see that NPR leans left! Why is this I wonder.

It is an appropriate way of referring to the so called "news" station. It is pretty much entirely "Full of S___".

I think getting rid of liberal Juan Williams and wanting to let Mara whatshername go for being on Fox kind of answers this question. NPR only tolerates one point of view and if you deviate from that there is no room for you. I think NPR isn't liberal, but has branched into authoritarianism because it used to be liberals understood the First Amendment. Regardless, NPR doesn't deserve one dime of tax money and should immediately be taken off the public dole. I support any politician left or right that proposes that.
