I agree, we need to crack down on employers who illegally hire people as well.

With regard to your last statement, I think many would disagree with our current rate of high unemployment. They are taking jobs away from americans.

Also, you never answered my question so I'll ask it for a third time... Who would you rather our tax dollar funded services go to, American citizens or illegals? I'm still waiting on your answer.
Although I am not a Christian, much less a "good Christian, I have never seen the need to discriminate against anyone, of any race religion or nationality, where real need is concerned. That is the answer to you question.

The fact that the article is a lie doesn't bother you just a tiny bit?

The percentage--23% in Los Angeles County--relates to benefits paid to citizen children whose parents are not here legally.

The children are CITIZENS, get it?

Why would someone say illegals are a "vital" part of our economy? They don't even ay taxes. Even if they would, they wouldn't make enough to be required to pay any taxes. I don't get it.

Highly undesirable, to say the least, but what are we supposed to do with kids? I guess the "me, myself and I" types would suggest to let the kids starve just to get mom and dad to leave . . . ?

"Yeah, let'm starve, f#%*'n illegals!"
-----------------------------------------
That's correct again sarge, man, you are on a roll today! They took a chance and came here illegally by breaking the law, they reap what they sow, it is not our responsibility to care for their kids. It is theirs, so if they broke the law in trying to care for their kids, they have to pay the consequences. If they end up starving, that is their parents fault and Mexicos problem, not the American people.

"Americans" are not producing babies in sufficient amounts to care for our aging population. The only remedy to this is to encourage people to have more kids- or to allow more immigration.
If we held EMPLOYERS responsible (pay people a decent wage with decent benefits) and penalized them from hiring "illegals", there would be no reason for people to come here illegally (no job).
If we fast-tracked citizenship for those who have something to contribute- it would solve problems in the long run...
But then, we would probably still become a "browner" looking nation- which I think is the real objection for alot of the complaining.

Did I miss the revelation that it's our responsibility to decide "what to do" with other people's kids?

When the parents get deported, they get the choice of taking their kids with them, or abandoning them in whatever way they see fit.

If/when they decide to abandon their own kids, can we expect to see you there, lecturing them on what THEY should "do with kids"?

They entered a country illegally, whose laws required they be deported, and they had kids there... thus subjecting those kids to the risk their parents would suddenly vanish. Those parents knew that risk fully, long before they ever decided to have kids in a country they had invaded illegally.

Why not pay those parents a visit with your solemn, self-righteous lectures, and try to do some actual good, rather than pretend it's suddenly the cops' faults?

There is a limited amount of funds and we can't afford to save the world. First priority should go to our citizens.

I've noticed that a lot of leftists precede their socialistic proposals with flat lies about what's going on in the country, so as to justify their government-uber-alles agenda.

I see it's still going on.
