ROW is no longer valid if the tracks are abandoned or given up (I know it's not as simple as that.) Where in the plan is the downtown station? I can't find any info on it. If you have a link, I'd love to see it. As I understand it, the current station on Thompson Point will stay, and continue service to Boston, and future service to Brunswick.

ROW still exists , its complicated to explain. But its still there. As for the Downtown Station , i don't have any detailed plans yet. But a Map of Northeastern Regional Rail Restorations and upgrades. But it seems to be going along smoothly , alot ppl support the Regional plan. Includes possibly extending Electrification up to Portland and replacing the Downeaster with Northeast Regional.

Thanks for the map. It's very similar too some that I was looking at earlier.

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. The current amount of trains heavily impact traffic here. A peninsula based (downtown) station could bring all traffic to a halt on the entire peninsula.
