Since I have almost 30k posts, I'd never accuse people of living on the forum and needing to get a life.

Well, at 14,000 doesn't seem like she should talk either, now does it?

I knew everyone here was smart enough to read between the lines.

I typed a long post detailing the number of posts we all have, but I decided it was more fun to make fun of myself.

Some people always seem to be here no matter what time of day or night it is; there's a difference between having a lot of posts and always hanging out in a forum waiting for a chance to yelp insults when someone doesn't agree with you. It really isn't so much about post count but about how there are certain posters here who seem to feel the need to try to control discussions.

Speaking for myself, I tried in my first reponse.

Then I saw his responses to myself and others. He has chosen you and another person to be civil to not because you were any nicer to him but because he needed someone on his side when those who were nice to him in the begining turned on him as the result of his rude comments. So of course you will defend him. Had it gone the other way, you would not be treating him so kindly.

Your first response to the OP was rude, Minervah, as well as classically passive aggressive.

You have no idea whether someone would have "turned on him" the way that some of you have; you seem to be pretty incapable of understanding that not everyone behaves the way that you do. I think that those of us who would rather not ride your silly bandwagon would have simply moved onto a discussion that we found interesting. You seem hyper-focused on this poster to an unhealthy extent, following him to other boards and all.

I think you're safe. July isn't the rainy season. But you'll still need to get a rain suit. You won't get through winter without it.
