Saw this tidbit on Pro Football Weekly's Audibles series.

Quote:
The following quotes are from NFL scouts, coaches and front-office personnel, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

• “I don’t know why there has been a love affair in the media with the Bears. The O-line sucks. The running backs are injury-prone. The receivers are overrated. The defense is old. That is not a good football team. And the quarterback (Jay Cutler) has such bad body language. He is very talented, but if they don’t sign him (to an extension), I don’t see anyone paying him a lot of money. Someone would pay him, but it would be a team like Kansas City or Miami, where a job is on the line and they have to win now. It would be a desperation move. When you break him down, he is not very good. He’s taken a step backward.”

It would appear that people don't remember how many drops occurred by receivers the last game and that the Bears O-line isn't so hot....and that they have a new offensive scheme this year.

Cutler is fine, or do you guys want to run him out of town to a team that has an o-line, healthy back etc?

Anyone remember what happened to "sucky" Jim Harbaugh after we booed him out of town and he went to Indy?

I'd give the edge to the Packers, but the Bears have a much softer schedule.

The reward for the late season injuries that jacked them up last year.

Yeah, well how many of those experts had the Saints at 0-4, the Cardinals at 4-0 and the Packers at 2-2? It's nice they get paid to blog, but it means little. Things can change on a dime, and I expect this Bears offense to get better. It might not be tonight, but they will.

When all the pundits are all in your favor, thats when you know you are in trouble.

You should have opened the link. The experts aren't paid to blog, it's simply a collection of comments that the experts share with the PFW staff. Since they are posted under the condition of anonymity, it's impossible to know what they might have predicted about the other teams.
