It must be pretty bad news when the minority owners want out. Rumors that are circulating, are pretty bad if true. They include sexual assault allegations, drug use. Not so much players involved, but other members of the organization. We shall see.

I've been hanging on the internet since midnight last night waiting for this Redskins thing to drop officially. Guess it will be tomorrow. Bye bye danno.

Another rumour being denied by the organization is they were paying refs.

Careful, Norm "Sucks" Green used a situation like this as a motivation to move the North Stars to Dallas.

yep this is the big news that Josh Norman and other people were hinting at. Dan Snyder and former team prez Bruce Allen were not accused of any misconduct, it appears radio voice Larry Michael and recently fired team director of pro personnel Alex Santos were accused. They say that Snyder and Allen surely knew about all of it though.

The Washington team (I keep forgetting that they're not the Redskins anymore) is in some boiling hot water... this stuff ran from 2006-2019. I bet money the NFL is gonna push Snyder to sell the team like they did to Jerry Richardson in Carolina in 2018.

sorry to all Washington fans out there but what a joke of a franchise

Just like my Baltimore Orioles have been a joke since Peter Angelos bought the team. He was one of the lawyers who became billionaires in the tobacco lawsuit settlement. Snyder is a billionaire who made a fortune in the communications business. IMO neither of these are viable owners, i.e., people who truly know the sport but have the ego and vanity to "play in the big leagues." In the old days these teams were owned by the local beer barons and they loved the game.

I don't recall when I first saw this photo but the moment I saw it I was struck by the appearance of massive arrogance of Snyder.

Sell the team to a decent owner.

Now, as far as selling the team my theory is that one reason Jeff Bezos is making the DC area the hub of his Amazon HQ2 location is that he has his eye on buying the team from Snyder. Amazon has huge data warehouses out near Dulles and I foresee a new stadium out there as part of the empire. IIRC Bezos also has a home in the DC area too. He too has his ego and vanity and just might run for president someday.
