This whole Watson contract debacle merely confirms that the owners of the Browns hate football.

Strange. Browns players speak pretty highly of the Haslams. They are not quite the Jerry Jones kind of owner, but they are involved with the players and understand the game. Sure, they have made some stupid moves, ala Johnny Manziel.

I think they put together one of the best front offices in football. Andrew Berry gets rave reviews from players across the league. Kevin Stefanski won coach of the year in his first season. You realize that both those guys inherited the mess from John Dorsey, Hue Jackson/Freddy Kitchens fiasco.

Legal/civil lawsuit issues aside, if the Browns win just ONE SuperBowl under Watson, the Haslams will be hailed a genius by the Browns faithful.

I don't even think they need to win...just GOING to the big game will be enough.

I like Texas, but they are sometimes a strange bunch. Have no idea what that means, had to Google it and still can't figure out how it applies here.

"A folksy shorthand for, "If the dog hadn't stopped for the bone he would have caught the rabbit."

LOL

Okay, my Ohio friends would say something like "If we had some ice, we'd have an ice cold beer, if we had some beer."

Hope that helps.

LOL. No, in relation to the subject matter.

Never heard it as well, but I'll ask my Ohio friends and family if they have.

Outcomes based on multiple, sequential, dubious events.

IF the legal issues magically go away, and then IF they win a Super Bowl, etc.

You might just say "wishful thinking"...

Sad news to report. The younger brother of Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koromah, Joshua, was found dead earlier this week in a fire in Hampton, VA. I’m very familiar with the spot he was found dead at since I grew up in the next complex West. Police are investigating this as a homicide. Prayers out to his family.

Very sad!

I lived in Hampton for nearly 20 years and that area seemed like a fairly decent area. It will be interesting to watch this case develop.
