I can guarantee you that they are not staying in JAX
LA just got approved to build a stadium. If you live in Jax, there home games are blacked out.
I'm not saying they won't move.... but if they do, I say San Antonio has a better shot than L.A., because of history.
That town never seems to get their sh*t in order when it comes to the NFL.
Three teams.... couldn't keep any one of them.
The expansion franchise for 2002.... went to Houston, event hough L. A. was damn near gauranteed a team, they still couldn't make it happen.
Besides, the leauge wouldn't have to worry about switching divisions around since the Jaguars are already in an AFC South area.
O.K. So Here's The Concensus On The New Teams...............
This is how the new teams are going to shake out 1. Los Angeles is going to have two(2) LA..and Anaheim CA 2.Toronto Ontario Canada 3.London England 4.Oklahoma City/Tulsa OK (Tulsa and OKC) are separated by the Turner Turnpike which is 85 Miles Long....and that's means that a 70,000 to 80,000 Staduim built at the half way point (mile 42) Would Be A Workable Model....Population 2 1/2 Million combined Metropolitan population.......A Vast Pool Of Rich Billionaires to form a Ownership Group.....(4) Fortune 500 Corp's (2) Fortune 1000 Corp's....(6) Fortune Largest Private Companies Two Cities That can Work Together and this is important... San Antonio and Austin would be in a similar model (but) these city don't have a track record of working together....

Honestly, I’d cut off your list at number 3 and maybe add another Canadian city or one in Mexico. As I mentioned before, I honestly don’t see the NFL going to any more small markets. Even if you try to add metros together to make some kind of super region. Look at this year and the recession. You’ve got several teams that have almost had blackouts. Places like Arizona, Oakland, Detroit, Cleveland and even Denver almost had a blackout. The NFL experimented with small markets and with what’s going on in Jacksonville and other cities this year don’t look for any other small (or medium) markets to get teams.

I think that the first three are spot on and accurate Oklahoma City and Tulsa was just for conversation merit only..they wouldn't be ready until 2020 at the very eariliest. Now San Antonio and Austin And Oklahoma City and Tulsa OK have the Strongest and (2) and (3) and (7) Strongest Economies in the United States , so the fan base can buy the tickets. I just don't see the Billionaires coming out of their's pockets for a Billion Dollars give or take a buck.
Unfortunately I do not believe it will be San Antonio. I live here and would love a team however the Cowboys would not want another team so close to take away from their fan base.
San Antonio would be a great choice,however the alamodome wouldn't be such an easy fix. Way too few luxury suites that would limit revenue. The NFL wouldn't let it happen unitl that was resolved.
For the record, I was completely wrong about Denver earlier, they did not have any games that were a threat to being blacked out. They sold out their season early. I was thinking of thier game in San Diego that was almost blacked out there. At any rate, here's a good feature USA Today did on the topic of blackouts...
