Hm. Well the first defender said it's PTSD related. That is not a disorder? I am pretty sure it is, and this is effed up 'treatment'.

The man does have PTSD yes. A poster say he may have developed the fetish as a way to relive his childhood in a loving way, due to the trauma of having been abused as a child. But the disorder that he is diagnosed with is PTSD, and was probably diagnosed well before he began acting on his fetish.

PTSD is a disorder.

Infantilism, whatever its purpose, is not, unless it meets diagnostic criteria for a paraphilic disorder (most likely candidate in that case would be fetishistic disorder - F65.0, if you're into diagnostic codes, though in that case, there would have to be a sexual arousal component, which may or may not be present).

In any case, for the behavior or urges to meet criteria for a disorder, it must cause clinically significant distress or impairment in functioning. Fetishes (if this is even really a fetish) aren't necessarily indicative of disorder.

He used to work and pull down a salary. I don't think he should be getting disability payments. I think he has a sexual fetish and it's on the taxpayer to fund it. I saw his picture. He's wearing a giant diaper and a woman takes care of him. I'm sure she changes his diaper, bathes him. I think he has a sexual fetish.

Sexual fetishes are not disabilities, and nobody's getting SSDI payments for them.

He may be receiving SSDI for another condition.

It's a weird fetish, that's for sure.

I have a spanking fetish, and I used to like the idea of dressing up as a schoolgirl for it. My husband shut that down...he said there's NOTHING attractive to him at all about interacting sexually with a "schoolgirl," so I can dress up as a teacher or librarian or something, but not anything emulating a minor. I had never thought of it that way, but he's totally right.

I’m sure there are individuals who are outside the norm even in the group just as it is in any group. However for the most part that is not what they do.

Dr. Phil used to offer solid advice, now he's all shock value and sensationalism.
The world didn't need another Jerry Springer.

Baby man probably enjoyed his fifteen minutes of fame.
I would guess he could function as an adult if it was worth his while.

I don't think you can know that from one documentary lol. The motive of the creators may have been to make you see them in a certain light.
