TWC modem or your own?

If TWC expect it to last about 3 months then go back down

Depends on how fast you want to go. The SB 6121 is good up to 50 down, the 6141 is good for 100 and the 6183 works with 300.

Here's a complete list with a few others. Make sure to hit show all. http://www.timewarnercable.com/en/su...our-modem.html

Left for an 11 day vacation and came back to no increase in speed in 27519 Rebooted as soon as I got home and then fired up the laptop to run speedtest, expecting to see great things. Instead, saw the same old speeds.

New modem and router installed. 50mb down. Nighthawk plus cm500, super easy install, very impressed, no issues (yet).

Another 27519 here. No MAXX speeds yet, but internet service went down about midnight last night and when it came back up my SB6183 went to 16 channels locked instead of 8. Hopefully, that means it won't be too much longer!

Can someone walk me through the process of checking how many channels are active? (I've got an SB6141.) Once I "log into" my modem, what next?
